This resource provides a detailed overview of the core values and key components of Restorative Justice (RJ)/ Transformative Justice (TJ) processes with the goal of upholding their integrity and ensuring that processes remain true to their foundational principles.  MERJ recognizes the critical role of the facilitator in embodying and maintaining integrity throughout the process and aims to highlight the need for authenticity, consistency, creativity, and adaptability.  We hope for this resource to serve as a grounding framework that anchors us and holds us accountable to the core principles of RJ/TJ; and we hope for this resource to be revisited over time by those who hold and facilitate RJ/TJ processes and those who strive to embody restorative practices.  This guiding resource reminds us that RJ/TJ is not merely a tool, but a framework and a lifestyle – a way of living and a lens with which to view, navigate, and move through our world, experiences, and relationships.
